COVID-19 INFORMATION

UPDATE 3/2/2021
There was a new order released today that lifts the current (identified in November 2020) restrictions and the revised order can be found here - Pennsylvania Gathering & Travel Recommendations - March 2021.  Please take a minute to review the links that are available at the bottom of that webpage.  In summary, all out-of-state travel recommendations no longer apply and the gatherings are now allowed to 15% or more of max capacity of a venue.  Also, the recommended negative COVID test or 10 day quarantine is not needed if traveling out of state for more than 24 hours.

As for Ohio, there is a recent update on the Ohio Travel Advisory website (attachment dated 2/24/2021) and this excludes the state of Pennsylvania from the list.  Unfortunately, as far as I know, the gathering restriction has not been lifted or revised in Ohio so we still will see limited spectators at the tournaments held there.

Westmoreland Elite will continue to enforce the use of masks at and during practices and/or tournaments.  As always, if you or someone in your family are not feeling well or test positive for COVID, please notify me and/or your coach and please stay at home.

The health and safety of West E’s players and families is of the utmost importance and we will continue to monitor the latest updates provided by the KRVA Region and health agencies to make decisions for practices and tournaments.  We ask that everyone take preventative actions to eliminate the spread of COVID-19.

As more information becomes available, this page will be updated with the latest.

Information regarding West E practices and tournaments at Murrysville Sports Zone:

If you feel sick, please stay home!

If any player has direct contact with a person who has tested positive, we recommend that the player take a COVID test.  If negative the player can return to play or if you choose not to, you may return to practice 14 days after onset of symptoms.

Each coach, player and parent/guardian will be required to wear a mask and go through a temperature check outside of the facility.  A temperature that reads 100.4 and above will be asked to go home.

Players are required to wear a mask during practice.  If any players have existing health issues that would stop them from wearing a mask, during an entire practice, please note this on the medical release form.

Please limit 2 parent/guardians per player in the facility - please no siblings.  Parents are encouraged to wait outside until practice is over, but if you do enter the facility, please practice social distancing.

Please adhere to social distancing throughout the facility.

Bathrooms will be available, but please bring your own water bottle.  Access to public water foundation is closed.

All West E staff will be wearing a mask.

Hand sanitizer will be available at all practices.
