This is Kelsey’s 4th year as a coach at Westmoreland Elite. She is currently the head volleyball coach at Plum High School. She previously played at Westmoreland Elite in 2011 and 2012. She graduated magna cum laude from Carlow University in spring of 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in Mass Media Communications and a minor in Business Management. In her four seasons at Carlow University, she has led the team as a defensive specialist and libero. Kelsey was a team captain for two years at Carlow. A four year starter, she was a large part of Carlow’s qualification for the USCAA Volleyball National Championships four years in a row. She was a USCAA Academic All-American and NAIA Scholar Athlete all four years. Her senior season, she was named to the USCAA All-American Second Team and the KIAC All-Conference Team. Kelsey led the KIAC in total digs and digs per set in 2015. She was ranked first in digs per set during the USCAA National Tournament and was named Player of the Game twice. She reached her 1,000 digs early in her senior season, ending her career with almost 1,700 digs. She was recognized by the AVCA as an All-American her last season. She was voted Carlow’s Best Defensive Player multiple times. Kelsey was awarded as Carlow University’s Most Outstanding Student Athlete and received a brick on the Celtic’s Walk of Fame.
Kelsey played high school volleyball at Valley High School in New Kensington. She was a four-year varsity starter and captain, and was selected to the WPIAL AA First Team multiple times. Kelsey was also a member of the Valley High School softball team. A four-year softball starter, she was a part of the Valley High School 2010 WPIAL AA Championship Team and 2011 PIAA AAA Championship Team.
